In 2014, Resinex was called upon to supply surface and depth buoys for the oil extraction operations of Saipem’s Drilling Rig Scarabeo 4.<\/p><\/div>\n

Throughout 2014, Resinex has been asked for supplying surface buoys and subsurface buoys\u00a0for the oil drilling operations of the Drilling Rig Scarabeo 4 owned by Saipem.
\nAt the beginning of the very same year<\/strong>, Resinex supplied 15 buoys type PEM 22 able to\u00a0operate in depth.\u00a0Buoys were specifically designed to keep the position on the vessel deck (side 2 m by 2 m) and\u00a0to optimize the dimension\/transport charge ratio.\u00a0They are 3 m long and have a \"PEM<\/a>net buoyancy of 10.400 kg at an operational depth of 100 m. At the end of the summer 2014, Saipem Misr which manages Scarabeo 4 in the Egyptian waters, required a chain support buoy for surface. It is made of shockproof material, it has a net buoyancy of 8.000 kg and is able to support a mooring with a 63 mm diameter chain with a \u00a085 tons shackle.
\nScarabeo 4 is a Drilling Rig<\/strong> semi-sumergible of second generation. It has a length of 109 metres and a height of 100 metres. Height of deck from the sea level is 44,5 metres. It can work at a water depth of 1790 feet (545 metres). Scarabeo 4 is now operated in the Egyptian Mediterranean waters by IEOC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
