Vard Group<\/strong>, subsidiary of the Italian Fincantieri,<\/strong> is one of the world leaders in the shipbuilding of specialized vessels: it operates nine shipbuilding facilities<\/strong> all over the world.<\/p>\n

Vard Tulcea<\/strong>, the large shipyard located on the right bank of the Danube River in the city of Tulcea (Romania), has recently been the final destination of an order of 9 Resinex donut fenders<\/strong>, commissioned, manufactured and delivered in the first half of 2020 in record time.<\/p>\n

The fenders are made of polyethylene foam with a polyurethane elastomer shell, they have a diameter of 3000 mm and a height of 2900 mm. Their large size has been particularly designed for poles with a diameter of more than 1000 mm.<\/p>\n

They are devised to protect both the hull of cruise ships and the mooring poles: the internal structure contains special plastic plates that allow the rotation on the support pipe.<\/p>\n

The polyethylene foam guarantees unsinkability<\/strong> even in case of damage and ensures high energy absorption<\/strong> with low reaction force<\/strong>, which is essential to eliminate the risk of damage to the hulls.<\/p>\n
