Resinex at the beginning of 2011 supplied 14 large elastic buoys capable of guaranteeing 336 tons of extra buoyancy, during the transport and installation in Canadian waters of the Deep Panuke platform owned by Encana.

A prompt action was the key to success, wich allowed SBM Offshore to commission Resinex 14 big elastic buoys able to guarantee extra buoyancy of 336 tons during transport and installation of the Deep Panuke platform (owned by Encana) in the Canadian waters.
The manufacture of the platform in Abu Dhabi was Delayed. SBM organized an urgent transportation from Abu Dhabi to Large elastic Deep Panuke buoyHalifax and studied a solution wich guaranteed a speed transport an a quick installation.
For this reason, it had been necessary to lighten the transport weight, adding extra buoyancy. SBM asked Resinex for a supply of 14 buoys in just 4 working weeks. Resinex received the order on mid December and delivered the buoys at the end of January. Transport was made using the semi sumersible vessel named Talisman.
Deep Panuke is a drilling jack-up wich produces and transforms natural gas from the namesake oilfield placed 250 km (155 miles) south east Halifax (Nova Scotia), off the Canadian coast. Once extracted from the deep Ocean, the natural gas is worked in the open sea, and then transported onshore trough submarine pipes.
Deep Panuke became fully operative on December 2013.
