Following the supply of 2012 to NFESC (US Navy), in 2020, Resinex was contacted by PCCI to provide a new subsea buoy to be used by NAVFAC (Naval Facility Engineering Command). PCCI is a private marine and environmental engineering US company. Scope of work of the buoy is to be employed as a noise measurement underwater.

It was positioned in June 2021 at a depth of 100 feet at San Clemente Island (California). It has a net buoyancy of 3180 kg, a diameter of 2.1 metres and a height of 1.2 metres. It is composed of a linear polyethylene shell and filled with polyurethane foam.

As usual, a pressure test was taken at Resinex test facility. A tensile strength test at 12,5 tons was also carried out to check the SWL of the steel part.
